The Experience

The Pacific Steelers College Showcase provides players with a chance to work closely with top U.S. and Canadian College Coaches.  This provides players with not only a tremendous opportunity to improve their hockey skills, but also an unique opportunity to develop direct relationship with college coaches, and an opportunity to be seen and recruited.

Each team will be head coached by a U.S College or Canadian University Hockey Coach.  While the framework for the showcase is laid out, each coach will bring their own flavour and experience to their teaching.  You will have three practices, and four games.  For the first three days of the showcase, you will have a practice in the morning/early afternoon followed by a game in the late afternoon/evening.  This format will allow the college coaches to identify areas that the players and team needs to work on in the games, and structure the practices to address those areas.  The fourth day will consist of one game in the morning.

Our aim is for you to feel like you have participated in a College Level Program for 4 days.  When you leave you will know what it takes having learned and worked closely with some of the best in the business. Our Coaches come from some of the best hockey programs in the NCAA and CIS as well as some of the finest academic institutions in the World.  Your contact with them will be invaluable in your search for a college when the time comes, as you will have a great resource and counselor that you may rely on to assist you with the college recruiting process.  You and your parents will also have the opportunity to attend the College Information Seminar, in which our coaches will share their insight and answer your questions about the college recruiting process.

The Teams

Enrollment in the College Showcase is currently limited to 144 players on  8 teams.  Each team will have no more than 16 skaters and 2 goalies.  We have purposely limited the enrollment to make sure you get the most out of your experience.

The Showcase is geared toward experienced players, born 1991 and younger, who are interested and capable of moving on to play Collegiate Hockey.   We have two divisions, a Midget Division (birth years 1991/1992/1993/1994) and a Bantam/Elite Peewee Division (1995/1996/1997/1998)

Our practices will assume a certain level of skill and ability, but we are committed to aiding in your growth and development.
