July 17, 2005 -- RICHMOND, B.C. -- The Pacific Steelers held their first annual College Showcase at the Richmond Ice Centre July 14-17, 2005. The showcase included four teams of 68 players, and was designed to simulate the college hockey experience, by featuring college coaches who conducted college level practices, chalk-talks, and coached behind the bench during the games. The coaches instructing at the showcase included: Marnie Hill (Providence), Danielle Bilodeau (Princeton), Ryan Stone (Brown), Rob Morgan (Dartmouth), Stephanie Jones (Colgate), Erin O'Brien (Plattsburgh), Jean Butler (Middlebury), David Newson (UBC) In addition, Brian Durocher (Boston University), and Brian McCloskey (UNH) were in attendance scouting the Showcase.
